The temperature at the July Love & War in Texas show was even hot by Texas standards. Nevertheless, the audience was there to party (Texas Style). This is one of the most fun places to play and to watch music that you will ever visit. Don't miss the next Blues Drifters show at Love & War in Texas in February of 2004. It will be a hot one.
We played everyday at the Chicago Blues Fest. The crowds were great and wow-what a party that was.
There was a real party group at Carter's Place on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. We have some incriminating pictures that will soon be on the site. Check back to this page for a look at that wild night in Lockport, Illinois. Better yet, don't miss our next show at Carter's Place on Saturday, October 4th.
Back in March we played in Elgin, Illinois at "Marlene's." They are located at 184 East Highland, on the corner of Highland and Spring. Actually, to enter the part of "Marlene's" that we played at, you actually enter through the back door. It seems kind of fitting for a Bluesman to go in through the back door. Marlene's is a large bar, banquet hall, and restaurant rolled into one. It is located inside of Elgin's old library. The lower level is where the bar is and that is where we are playing. The other entrance faces the park at 50 Spring Street. This show in Elgin was a special one for us. We entertained a large number of friends and fans at this show and had a blast. This was our best yet. Well...so was the last one but we kind of hope the next one will be too. Highlights included our new version of Red Rooster, The Sky is Cryin, and our very own Low Down Homeboy Blues. Other highlights were some of our guests that got up on the stage to help us perform. What fun! We're still buzzin from it. We ended up being hired to play a private party on Saturday that was intimate but full of fun.
